Before moving (back) to Los Angeles in Fall 2023, I spent time in Cambridge, MA as a postdoc at MIT in Brain & Cognitive Sciences where I enjoyed spending time with friends new and old, remembering how seasons work, and singing in the MIT Concert Choir.
I completed my PhD in Linguistics at UCLA in sunny Los Angeles, where I spent my time enjoying the city’s museums and coffee shops.
I completed my undergraduate degree at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania, majoring in Linguistics & Languages (combining a suite of theory courses with advanced reading in Attic and Homeric Greek and Tiberian Hebrew), with minors in Greek and Religion.
While at Swarthmore also I sang in the chorus and chamber choir, and was involved in queer community-building and activism. Before that, I grew up in rural Massachusetts.
These days I like to venture out of LA when possible, drink lots of coffee, and sing (albeit primarily in the shower).
